Our charity page
If
you or someone close to you has experienced a serious traumatic brain injury, it can be hard to know where to turn for the right help and support. We hope the information on these pages gives you a helpful starting point.
You may also find it useful to explore the work of specialist charities. Many of them offer guidance, resources, and support for people in similar situations, and we have listed some of these organisations below.

At Northern Lifetime, supporting our community is important to us. We make regular donations to local charities and actively support the fundraising efforts of our staff — whether through direct contributions or sponsorships.
For example, our Support Worker Louise is participating in Headway's 'Walk 90km in February' to raise money for Headway, and Alastair Eliot recently took part in the Hadrian’s Wall Challenge, and we are pleased to help them reach their fundraising goal.
In the past, we have also sponsored a client raising funds for the Toby Henderson Trust through a sponsored walk along the Northumberland coast from Craster to Dunstanburgh. And we have supported solicitor Dr Liz Iveson when she ran the London Marathon raising money for Brain Research UK, and similarly we chipped in to show support for solicitor Louise Jenkins during her 100k June Challenge for Day One Trauma Support.
As a business, we also make charitable donations directly. We were proud to take part in the Christmas 'Charity Stars for Steps' appeal in December, where Northern Lifetime sponsored an illuminated star on the side of the Steps Rehabilitation centre in Sheffield.
If you or a family member has experienced a serious traumatic brain injury, it can be difficult knowing where to turn to in order to find the right help. We hope that our web pages provide a useful start. For more information and advice, you'll find that several relevant charities have websites that include resources dedicated to helping people in your situation - listed below.
From time to time, we as a business give charitable donations. We did so to support the beleaguered people of Ukraine, via the Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal
of the Disasters Emergency Committee.
And on a more local level we've made several donations and sponsored individuals in their money raising efforts. For example, we were very impressed by one of our client's support for the
Toby Henderson Trust
and were delighted to sponsor him for a fundraising sponsored walk, along the beautiful Northumberland Coast from Craster to Dunstanburgh. Other donations have included one to
Dr Liz Iveson
who ran the London Marathon this year to raise money for
Brain Research UK, and to Louise Jenkins for her 100k June Challenge for
Day One Trauma Support.
Also, our co-founder
Jane Paige
volunteers at the
Food and Community Trust.
The charity runs food banks and offer other
community support across Sheffield,
and Jane has been assisting them
with their safeguarding.
